I found that Outlook overrides the Windows time setting feature. As soon as I changed the time zone in Outlook, Windows followed it. In Outlook (mail, calendar, whatever) click File on top menu, then Options, then Calendar, then scroll about halfway down to Time Zones. Set it there.

No luck. Did this with "Set Time Zone Automatically" set to OFF and selected the correct time zone (Arizona). When I switched it back to ON Windows decided I am in the Eastern time zone and incorrectly reset the time. The computer is 18 months old and shouldn't need a CMOS battery.

I have tried all of the above, had MS Support on the phone and taking over my PC three times now, reinstalled windows 11 (leaving software), tried multiple command prompts, etc... to no avail. Fingers crossed, what is currently working for me is to: go in to Control Panel/Date&Time/Click on the "Internet Time" tab/Change Settings/ in the drop-down menu use "time.nist.gov", "Update now" "OK" and close out. Using this other server has kept my time zone in check even when I just traveled from the west coast to the east coast and back. Perhaps just luck but the time zone automatically adjusts and remains accurate for 10+ days now.

I have the same issue now for two weeks. I reset my time manually and a few hours later or when my computer snoozes, it resets back to the wrong time. When I change it in settings taking it off the automatic setting, I can manually change the time, but not the time zone. I have updated it in MS edge and outlook. Yet it keeps reverting to Mountain time instead of Central time!

This fixed my issue. Outlook was overriding the system time zone (which is dumb) but glad that there are forums like this that give alternate solutions. Appreciate this post!
