AUDIO NOT WORKING AFTER POWER OUTAGE

PC specs:

Processor: Intel Core i5-4590

CPU @ 3.30GHz

Installed RAM: 16GB

Device ID:

Product ID:

System type: 64-bit operating system,  x64-based processor

2 days ago, I was on my PC and suddenly everything in the room turned off. Someone turned a hairdryer on while the air conditioner was on, causing a breaker to trip which powered the computer off without a shutdown or restart. A forced shutdown. Upon restarting once we flipped the breaker switch back on, I got back on my PC and noticed the volume slider in the date/time/wifi etc. section of the Start bar was X'd out as if it was muted. I knew something was wrong upon me trying to unmute/slide the volume bar up. It's all greyed out.

I first got this computer a month ago, it's a custom build with nothing too expensive, just a decent amount of memory & I use this PC solely for making instrumental music & sometimes recording vocals, but until 2 days ago it played audio on both my monitor and also through my usb interface via headphones. I use an external 4 track mixing board that connects via USB for sound & recording. It's a cheap Amazon interface called "ALPOWL" F-4A. The headphone aux brought no audio to life.  I tried both headphone aux spots in the back of & top of the PC too. Tried switching to it's Bluetooth mode, but I don't have Bluetooth on here I guess. No results.

in Device Manager the audio drivers show, but have a yellow caution sign beside them.

Ive also tried the following techniques from Google, Reddit, Microsoft's own forum & help center and YouTube::

Downloading different audio drivers.

I tried ASIO, and although it showed in Device Manager, it didn't work.

NVIDIA. I got their graphics and audio driver package for Windows 11. The user interface showed everything as working but did not fix the audio issue.

I restarted the PC after both installs, didn't work.

I tried updating to the most recent Windows update which for me shows as:

2023-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 11 for x64-based systems (KB5031358)

HOWEVER, this update will not install and gives an install error - 0x800f0831

gets up to about 15% then stops & gives me that error code. This code and updating problem have been there since day 1 of my owning this PC and never affected anything, especially not the sound.

-plugging in/out headphones and speakers.

-plugging in/out the usb cord in all slots

-running troubleshoot which just tells me to reinstall or update the drivers, but when I try those options it says that the driver is already updated & doesn't do anything. It also stated that it had fixed the audio driver problem & all I had to do was restart, but I would restart and nothing changed.

-I did a system restore that takes your PC back to it's state before you had a problem. I chose a backup that I had from 2 days before this audio problem happened, and everything was the same as before, X'd out volume, error codes and no audio.

Here's the specs of the drivers that have a yellow caution sign beside them in Device Manager:

High Definition Audio Device

device type: sound video & game controllers

manufacture: Microsoft

location: location 0

device status: Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (Code 19)

and then this is the USB audio interface I've been using since day 1 that worked until the power outage. it still powers on via being plugged into any of the USB ports and is in working condition but here's what it says for the USB audio device:

JieLi BR21

device type: sound video & game controllers

manufacture: generic USB audio

location: location 0000.0014.0000.014.000.000.000.000.000

device status: windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged (Code 19)

Here are the error codes for my audio drivers in Devices Manager. They won't update or install for a reinstall.

400 and 411

Your Processor does not have Windows 11 officially, so you won't get support for Windows 11 and earlier versions too.

According to intel, Your processor supported Windows 7/8.1 , only a graphics card driver is available,
