My computer won’t connect to WiFi. Internet Drive Adapter

I have recently just updated my Windows 11 computer and it is not connecting to WiFi at all. It has gotten to the point where I can’t even see the available WiFi networks available that I could possibly connect to. I have tried running a troubleshooting test. It just says that there is a network drive adapter problem. My home WiFi box is fully on and working properly. When I try to fix the drive adapter and run as an administrator it says it was unable to fix. When I restart my computer after resetting all network options it stops and a blue screen comes up incomplete with the stop code: DRIVER POWER STATE FAILURE. This has just recently started and I feel like I’ve tried all of the common fixes.

Well, I have Windows 11 but I got it fixed.

I use an Asus so I don't know if it will work for you but,

    1. Switch off your laptop
    2. Unplug any chargers, external drives and sorts
    3. Press the power button for a minute. If it shows a start up about 20s in, ignore it and
    4. After the minute is complete, release the button and power on normally.

I hope this helps because I understand how frustrating it is.b

I tried all the recommendations online. Even Windows Update. Nothing had worked. What finally worked for me was this...

I had the "CCleaner" app automatically update all my drivers. After the CCleaner app did that, after about 2 restarts... Now my Win11 computer automatically connects to wifi again. That's what worked for me. (No, I do not work for CCleaner app and don't get any money from them.)

Hey, how did you download the app if your laptop didn't connect to the WiFi?

Hi, I am Dhanam, Independent Advisor here to work with you on this issue.

I know this has been difficult for you, Rest assured, I'm going to do my best to help you.

    1)To run the Network troubleshooter

    Select Start > Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters .

Under Most frequent, select Network & Internet > Run, or select the button below to launch the Network & Internet Get Help feature.

Open Get Help for Network & Internet

Follow the steps in the troubleshooter and see if that fixes the problem.

Restart your modem and wireless router. This helps create a new connection to your internet service provider (ISP).

2)Uninstall the network adapter driver and restart

If the previous steps didn’t work, uninstall the network adapter driver and restart your computer. Windows will automatically install the latest driver. Consider this approach if your network connection stopped working properly after a recent update.

Before uninstalling, make sure you have drivers available as a backup. Visit the PC manufacturer’s website and download the latest network adapter driver from there. If your PC can't connect to the internet, you'll need to download a driver on a different PC and save it to a USB flash drive so you can install the driver on your PC. You’ll need to know the PC manufacturer and model name or number.

Select Search on the taskbar, type device manager, and then select Device Manager from the list of results.

Expand Network adapters, and locate the network adapter for your device.

Select the network adapter, press and hold (or right-click), and then select Uninstall device > check the Attempt to remove the driver for this device check box > Uninstall.

After uninstalling the driver, select Start > Power > Restart .

After your PC restarts, Windows will automatically look for and install the network adapter driver. Check to see if that fixes your connection problem. If Windows doesn't automatically install a driver, try to install the backup driver you saved before uninstalling.
