Update: I have manually added my network through the control panel and it seems to be working, however I have tried all of your steps but the icon in the bottom right still isn't there and my laptop still cannot search for networks.
How to fix a missing network icon and no internet connection.
My laptop with windows 10 went through an automatic disk repair today and after the repair I noticed the wifi connection stopped working after around a minute. I noticed the wifi icon on the task bar has disappeared and when I try to open network settings in the settings app, the app immediately crashes. I checked the device manager and my usual network adapter is still there but there is no internet connection. What should I do to fix this issue?

I am Tanvi and I would be happy to assist you today!
The automatic disk repair might have affected your network drivers or settings.
Check Network Icon Settings sometimes the icon might be hidden. Right-click on the taskbar and select Settings.
1. Navigate to System > Notifications & actions. 2. Under Quick actions, click on Turn system icons on or off. 3. Ensure the toggle next to Network is turned On. 4. Go back to the Notifications & actions window and click on Select which icons appear on the taskbar.- Verify that the toggle next to the Network is also turned On.
