Re: Ctrl keys not working
What I have done so far to remedy the problem:
- Keyboard troubleshooter is not available in Settings. I have used (msdt.exe -id KeyboardDiagnostic) in Command Prompt and no issues were found.
- All Windows updates are current, as well as uninstalling keyboard driver and rebooting.
- Sticky Keys, Filter Keys, and Toggle Keys are disabled.
- I do not have another keyboard, but I have used the onscreen keyboard, and I am able to use the Ctrl keys there, and they do function. But this is not a viable alternative as replacement for natural keyboard.
- I have removed Ctrl key caps and cleaned any possible debris.
This issue started a couple months ago after a Windows update but I can't say exactly which one. It started as an intermittent issue, but quickly became permanent. All other keys work fine. It is only the Ctrl keys that stopped working.
