I have had this PC for 3 years and no matter what I do i cannot have a headphone and a microphone that works and registers so the other day I bought a new Quantum 100 to see if I would finally be able to communicate with my friends and found that it too does not work.

It is frustrating as I have no clue what to do, i have the ASUS Z690 A motherboard with wifi and the Quantum 100 headset as I stated but the audio works just fine but the microphone in no way works, and this was always an issue as my headphones microphone was never detected before which is what frustrates me.

    Hi Wael,

My name is Umar. I'm an Independent Advisor and I will be happy to help you today.

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused to you. I understand that you're experiencing issues with the microphone on your JBL Quantum 100 headset. It can be frustrating when you're unable to communicate with your friends. Here are some steps you can try:

Right-click on the speaker icon in the system tray (bottom-right corner of your screen) and select "Open Sound settings."

Under the "Input" section, make sure your JBL Quantum 100 headset microphone is selected as the input device. Test the microphone by speaking into it and seeing if the input level indicator moves.

Check recording device settings: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound > Recording. Make sure to select the proper recording device, which should be your JBL Quantum headset. Right-click on it and select "Set Default Device" or "Default Communication Device

Outdated or corrupt audio drivers can sometimes cause microphone issues. Go to the ASUS support website for your motherboard model and download the latest audio drivers. Install them and restart your computer.
