Something quite similar already exists, and has existed for many years. 😁
Windows itself can't be made simple - computer technology is just too complicated. However, there are several brands of computer that make it much easier to work with Windows. They do this by adding an overlay to the Windows desktop that displays only the basic things that most people want to do with a computer. And they back this up with friendly, patient customer service that is easy to reach. I wish that this kind of computer would be advertised more widely. It can be of enormous benefit to anyone, of whatever age, who's not comfortable with complex computer technology.
Fortunately, computers are moving in a direction that will make them much easier to use for everyone, and Microsoft is a leader. Eventually, most of the software that we work with will be found not on computers but on the internet, where Microsoft and its partners will take over the responsibility of maintaining it and updating it. Similarly, we'll be storing most of our data on the internet, where it can be protected by Microsoft's industrial strength hardware and software.
Google is also active in this field. A Chromebook is an example of a computer that relies on the internet for its software and as a place to store users' data. This makes the computer much easier to use, easier to maintain, and much less expensive. Microsoft will eventually have the same - the software underpinnings are already in place.
I wish you much success in your studies.
