Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.
Try running these commands in Command Prompt to start the audio troubleshooters:
Playing Audio:
msdt.exe -id AudioPlaybackDiagnostic
Recording Audio:
msdt.exe -id AudioRecordingDiagnostic

Looks like all troubleshooters stopped working after some update. "Get Help" app is displayed instead of troubleshooter.
What is the id of "Record Audio Troubleshooter" for the msdt.exe?
What is the other way to run "Record Audio Troubleshooter"?

There must be a glitch in the latest Windows update, as I have both a Logitech Brio camera w/ built-in condenser mic, as well as a Logitech Yeti X microphone and windows is not detecting either microphone (it does detect the camera, but not the mic).
I allowed an MS tech access to my computer and he was not able to fix the problem - even after trying several methods taking almost 3 hours!
If you press the Windows key on your keyboard you'll be able to search for "Command Prompt". Open the Command Prompt software and then type msdt.exe -id AudioRecordingDiagnostic then press the Enter key on your keyboard and the Recording Audio Troubleshooter will run. You can then close the Command Prompt window if you wish
I have the same problem. Not very computer literate, so when you say to run those commands in Command Prompt, what does that mean and how do I do it?
