Windows explorer is using an absurd amount of battery. Also, my fully charged battery was drained completely although unused and it shows that screen was never turned off.

    Hi

    Welcome to the Microsoft community.

Are you experiencing abnormal battery drain? The report shows the percentage of battery used by software during a certain period. For example, if I used 1% of the battery and 87% of it was used by Explorer, it’s actually a normal phenomenon because not much power was used. If this is the case, it should be normal (it’s possible from your picture). If the battery is draining abnormally, you can try to use these commands to repair Windows files to see if it’s caused by some files.

Run CMD as administrator and then enter these commands one by one:

    sfc /SCANNOW

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth

    DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Restart your computer and then enter this command again.

    sfc /SCANNOW

    Best regards
