When I did step 2, the thing popped up and it closed. Is there anything else I can do?
How do I install microsoft store?
I want to download something and I have to go to the microsoft web page,
It wasn't on my laptop as a default app, if you have answers please let me know

I'm Christine, I'll be happy to assist you. Looks like you're MS Store app is missing. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.
May I know the version or build of Windows that you're running? (Please press Windows key+R and type winver and hit enter)
Kindly check and follow the steps below:
- Please check if there's a pending updates that needs to be installed.
Click Start Menu and type Windows update then hit enter. Please install the updates.

- Please press Windows key + R and type wsreset.exe and hit enter.
Wait for it to finish and load the MS Store.
Once MS Store is up, please check if the issue still persists.
- Repair Windows Store apps
Please click Start Menu and type Powershell, right click on it and choose Powershell(admin), copy and paste the command below and hit enter.
Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}
Once the process is done, restart the PC and check if the issue still persists.
