Ok, reality finally dawned on me. MS no longer provides support!! With a hope and a prayer, perhaps a good hearted soul in this MS community will step up to the plate and help with this issue: Win 10, I have onedrive and my documents are sitting there. How do I access these documents from another computer?

I have onedrive and my documents are sitting there. How do I access these documents from another computer?

Open any web browser and go here: https://onedrive.live.com

Your OneDrive is a component of your Microsoft account.

Your Microsoft account is a cloud account. A cloud account is a user account that is created on the internet, aka 'the cloud'. A Microsoft account is Microsoft's brand name for their version of a cloud account.

Therefore, your OneDrive is on the internet, and your documents are sitting there, on the internet.

Since your OneDrive is on the internet, you can reach it with any web browser from any device that can connect to the internet, anywhere in the world.

Each Microsoft account has its own OneDrive.

Microsoft account A can only work with OneDrive A.

Microsoft account B can only work with OneDrive B.

If your only Microsoft account was issued by your school or work, then you are limited by whatever rules the school or work setup.

It seems to me that you would want to have your own separate Microsoft account, with your own OneDrive for your personal files.

Since the files in your OneDrive are on the internet, there is no reason to setup fetch files.

Thank you Chien! Thanks to you, I am making some progress here:

    1. No fetch files needed. Good.
    2. Apparently, I have to log in using my MS email, not the one I used when I set up the onedrive. (Where they got the idea about school or work, I guess we will never know...)

But now, we get to the biggie!

Computer 1 has my onedrive documents.

On computer 2 (or any other computer), I log in to my MS account. No problem.

BUT WHAT I FIND ARE ONLY FILES THAT WERE UPLOADED TO ONEDRIVE ON COMPUTER 2. NOT THE FILES UPLOADED ON COMPUTER 1.

Now that is a real problem. I understand that. But how do I get support to resolve this issue? That is the question...

Thank you, Chien! Much appreciated! Yes, of course, that is elementary... The problem is that when I try to open my MS account on the other computer, I get an error message. Something like: You cannot use a school associated email to enter the account. So I cannot access my onedrive...

Also, I read somewhere that you need to enable fetch files on the original computer. If true, how to do that?

Life would be so nice and simple if it was the way the algorithms make you believe it is
