My rotation lock setting is grayed out. How can I fix it? It just changed from landscape to portrait on its own sometime between last night and today.

Thank you for reaching out! As an Independent Advisor and fellow Microsoft user, I'm happy to assist you.

It appears that you're experiencing an issue with your screen rotation lock setting being grayed out. Please let me know if you have tried the methods below:

Open Device Manager: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run window. Type devmgmt.msc and hit Enter. Look for the Sensors tab, where you should find your accelerometer. Right-click on it and uninstall the driver. Then, at the top of the Device Manager, select Action and click Scan for hardware changes to reinstall the driver.

Check for Windows Updates: Ensure your Windows 11 is up to date. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for Updates.

Disable and Re-enable Sensors: Open Device Manager, find the Sensors tab, right-click on your sensor driver, and select Disable. Wait for a few seconds and then enable it again.

Restart the Sensor Monitoring Service: Press the Windows key + R to open the Run window. Type services.msc and hit Enter. Scroll down to find the Sensor Monitoring Service option, right-click on it, and select Restart.

Check for Conflicting Devices: Ensure no other devices are interfering with your screen rotation. Disconnect any external devices and see if the issue persists.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

    Best Regards,
    Anuujin
