As of last year, my computer began suddenly freezing indefinitely. Sometimes while browsing, but mostly while playing games. The only way to get end the freezing Is to manually hold the power button until everything is off. Also, despite turning on mini dumps, there doesn't seem to be any created.

I'll update this post once on pc and provide whatever is going on in event viewer as it's always the same lines of "information" leading up to the crash/freeze.

    Hi Santiago Ortis,

Thank you for getting back to us.

They are components related to audio or graphics.

Some of the components do fail to run in Safe Mode and we were able to observe the same behavior, for example Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth.

You can double-click on the component for details, and some components will indicate that they cannot be loaded due to Safe Mode.

These components may not be significantly associated with the crashing issue.

Are you currently experiencing frequent crash issues in Safe Mode?

Is the situation the same if you configure device with clean boot?

    • Clean Boot starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or program is interfering or causing a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

Please be careful not to disable any services that may be related to security credentials or security authentication, such as TPM, Security, Credential.

Thanks for replying! I was wondering what I could test for in the windows safe environment. I checked my device manager and saw 5 errors, being two Digital Audio (S/PDIF) (High Definition Audio Device), Generic Non-PnP Monitor, Microsoft GS Wavetable Synth, and NVIDIA High Definition Audio.

    Hi Santiago Ortis,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Based on the original description, the device seems to be experiencing issues related to the unexpected system freeze.

These messages only mention some system files and do not clearly indicate the related processes.

iommu probably refers to Input-Output Memory Management Unit, which may be related to the behavior of memory allocation.

The last message may be related to power-related hardware behavior.

Event ID 41 The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first - Windows Client | Microsoft Learn

The situation that the device does not record a minidump file means that the overall external environment (such as the power supply environment) may be unstable.

If possible, would you mind sharing more information about this issue with us?
