    Hi cody north.

Thanks for reporting this issue in Microsoft Community.

In your description, you didn't set a password, but the login screen still tells you that your password has expired and needs to be changed.

Are you using Windows 10 Pro?

When you encounter this prompt, you can just click “OK” and go to the next step, in the new page, follow the prompts to enter the old password and the new password (if you have not set a password, do not enter it), after entering the new password, repeat the new password in the input box below to confirm, after this, you can use the new password to log in. Perform login.

If you are using Windows 10 Pro, your password expiration problem is most likely caused by the password expiration period set by the policy group, please refer to the following steps to change it:

1 Search for “Computer Management” in the taskbar, right-click the search result, and select Run as administrator.

2 in the newly opened page, the left sidebar, find the users and groups, click on the user, in the right side of the user display box, find your own account username, double-click, and then check the inside of the password never expires option, click OK.

This way, the password you set for this account will not expire.

I hope the above content can help you, if you have any other questions, or the above content does not help you, please continue to contact me, I will provide you with further help, thank you for your support and understanding.
