Windows 11 won't screen on Roku TV

After some research, I discovered that this is an old but ongoing issue.

I have a Windows PC

HP Envy x 360

Processor AMD Ryzen 5 3500U with Radeon Vega Mobile Gfx 2.10 GHz

64-bit

I also have a Roku TV that I am trying to cast my computer to. I've never had an issue casting before, but all of a sudden, my Roku TV is not showing up as one of the available devices.

I've been troubleshooting this for days ns have tried so many different things, but nothing is working.

Is there a solution for this?

Some (but not all) of the things I've already tried are restarting both devices, turning the network to private, re-adding the TV by pressing the run option, etc.

    Dear Cammie,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

I understand how challenging it can be when a feature that previously worked without issues suddenly stops functioning. Let's work together to resolve the issue of casting your Windows 11 PC to your Roku TV.

Steps to Troubleshoot and Resolve the Casting Issue:

    1. Reset Network Settings: On your PC, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Advanced network settings > Network reset. This will remove and then reinstall all your network adapters and set other networking components back to their original settings. Restart your PC afterward.
    2. Change Projection Settings: Press Win + P on your keyboard to open the projection options. Select Duplicate or Extend and see if your Roku TV appears.
    3. Disable and Enable Network Discovery: Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Advanced sharing settings. Turn off network discovery, save changes, and then turn it back on.
    4. Factory Reset Roku TV: As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your Roku TV. This will erase all settings and data, so consider this only if other steps fail.

If you've tried all these steps and still cannot cast to your Roku TV, it may be beneficial to reach out to Roku Support for further assistance. They can provide more specialized support for compatibility and connectivity issues with their devices. I hope these steps help you get back to casting your screen from your Windows 11 PC to your Roku TV. Please let us know if you need further assistance or have any other questions.

    Best Regards,

I am going to try your steps again. It was working yesterday and has since stopped connecting again. I'll be back with an update.

Thank you! It's working again. That was such a headache. I was trying to fix that for weeks. I also did a firmware update and some kind of a restore update thing too but I had to leave and my computer died so it was interrupted. Whatever the case, it's working again. Thanks so much!
