Go to Settings, select Network & internet > Wi-Fi > the Wi-Fi network you’re connected to, then turn off Metered connection option.

Hi, I am an Independent Advisor.

Let me help you with this issue.

I understand you need to disable the metered connection on Windows 10.

Open the Start menu, click on the gear icon to open Settings, go to Network and Internet, click on WIFI, then click on the WIFI connection, you should see the Metered Connection which you can toggle on and off.

How do you completely disable metered connections? I never want any connection, and future connections to be considered metered.

Fred, my Windows 10 running on Dell PC, with all updates uses HughesNEt Internet for their two net works, Hug2g and Hug 5g, never can get the 5g, but in properties for the 5G, I can toggle the metered connection to OFF. But the 2G network has the metered set to ON, but is grayed out and I can not switch it off. Installing a new Web Cam from Logitech, C270 HD, trouble shooter says it is OK but it did flash that installation is NOT complete because it is on a metered connection. The LED light is also not on. I am the Administration, this is a home network, not business. Where do I go to shut off the metering?

I set it up to only do the Bonus time of 2:00 A.M. to 8:00 A.M. to allow the Windows Updates to be done when data is cheaper. I used to be able to toggle, now that it is gray, no go!!!

    Thanks,

    James
