Halo infinite on the xbox app on windows 11 crashes on the startup loading screen after the company logos show on screen. All of my drivers are up to date. I tried running the game without high resolution texture DLC installed. I tried running the gaming services repair tool.
Here are my specs,

Processor 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12600KF 3.70 GHz

Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)

GPU Nvidia Geforce 4080 SUPER
Storage Samsung 2tb SSD

Here is an event viewer log stating an error i believe may be tied to the issue, Log Name: Application Source: Application Error Date: 6/15/2024 9:41:12 PM Event ID: 1000 Task Category: Application Crashing Events Level: Error Keywords: User: DESKTOP-0FUHGVQ\ DSKTP Computer: DESKTOP-0FUHGVQ Description: Faulting application name: TCUI-App.exe, version: 22.90.2406.5001, time stamp: 0x66608189 Faulting module name: twinapi.appcore.dll, version: 10.0.22621.3672, time stamp: 0x646c8e47 Exception code: 0xc000027b Fault offset: 0x00000000000ca2d3 Faulting process id: 0x0x540 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DABFA768C303AF Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.GamingServices_22.90.5001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\TCUI-App.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\twinapi.appcore.dll Report Id: 283fc42f-9403-41d1-b86d-ef6eed3297b9 Faulting package full name: Microsoft.GamingServices_22.90.5001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Faulting package-relative application ID: Microsoft.GamingServices Event Xml: http://schemas.microsoft.com/win/2004/08/events/event"> 1000 0 2 100 0 0x8000000000000000 9228 Application DESKTOP-0FUHGVQ TCUI-App.exe 22.90.2406.5001 66608189 twinapi.appcore.dll 10.0.22621.3672 646c8e47 c000027b 00000000000ca2d3 0x540 0x1dabfa768c303af C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.GamingServices_22.90.5001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\TCUI-App.exe C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\twinapi.appcore.dll 283fc42f-9403-41d1-b86d-ef6eed3297b9 Microsoft.GamingServices_22.90.5001.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe Microsoft.GamingServices

i found the issue. and its a disgrace that this issue is about 2 weeks old. you are using a vnidia graphics card and the 555.99 driver update is the problem. idk how 343 can ignore this for 2 weeks.

SOLVED: The game crashes after the Nvidia GeForce update to 555.99 : r/haloinfinite (reddit.com)

i hope that 343 jumps on this quick but you can just download and install the previous driver 555.85 i believe it said.

13 days. this proves that 343 did a really bad job with this game to ignore a fatal flaw for 2 weeks.

https://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us# there is the link to nvidias driver dowloads

EDIT:343 isnt ignoring this issue. idk why it hasnt been fixed but im not the devs so i only know what i know. atleast the game is still playable.

Following. Any fix for this yet besides rolling back my driver? I'd prefer not to since all my other games work totally fine. Also good thing that it's free, I'll just play something else until there's a fix from Microsoft or Nvidia.

It's always something with Halo Infinite and the loading screen. The game is so close to being great but they can't quite get it there.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

Click your Start Button, then just type powershell and on the resulting list, right click PowerShell and select 'Run as Administrator'.

Run this command and press Enter:

    get-appxpackage Microsoft.GamingServices | remove-AppxPackage -allusers

When that command completes, run this command and press Enter:

    start ms-windows-store://pdp/?productid=9MWPM2CQNLHN

The Store app will open, download and install the Gaming Services app from there.

Then, restart your PC and check if the game is working correctly.
