Hello! I'd be happy to help you update your BIOS and chipset drivers. Could you please provide me with the model number of your PC or laptop? If it's a custom-built PC, I'll need to know the CPU and motherboard details. Thank you!

To address the issue of Valorant frame drops after a factory reset, you can follow several steps to optimize your system and game settings. Here are some comprehensive solutions based on the provided sources:
Update Drivers and System
- Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date. You can do this manually by visiting the NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel website.
- Update BIOS and Chipset Drivers: Sometimes, updating your BIOS and chipset drivers can resolve performance issues.
Optimize In-Game Settings
- Lower Graphics Settings: Adjust your in-game graphics settings to lower values. Set material quality to low, texture quality to medium, detail quality to medium, and UI quality to medium. Turn off vignette, VSync, improve clarity, experimental sharpening, bloom, distortion, and cast shadows
- Display Mode: Set the display mode to fullscreen and ensure that FPS limits are appropriately set (e.g., limit FPS in menus and background but not during gameplay)
System Settings Adjustments
- Disable Fullscreen Optimizations: Right-click on the Valorant executable, go to Properties > Compatibility, and check "Disable fullscreen optimizations"
- Set High Priority: Set Valorant to high priority in Task Manager to allocate more system resources to the game
- Enable Game Mode: In Windows settings, enable Game Mode to optimize your system for gaming
Background Applications and Processes
- Close Unnecessary Programs: Ensure that no unnecessary background programs (like Chrome, Discord, etc.) are running while playing Valorant.
- Disable Hardware Acceleration: Turn off hardware acceleration in applications like Discord and Chrome to free up system resources
Network and Latency Optimization
- Check Network Stability: Ensure your internet connection is stable and not causing lag spikes or packet loss.
Additional Tips
- Check for Overheating: Ensure your system is not overheating, as thermal throttling can cause FPS drops. Clean your PC and ensure proper ventilation.
- Verify GPU Usage: Make sure your system is using the dedicated GPU instead of the integrated one. You can check this in Task Manager or using tools like MSI Afterburner.
- Adjust Mouse Settings: If you experience FPS drops when moving the mouse, enable the "[Beta] RawInputBuffer" in Valorant's settings.
By following these steps, you should be able to mitigate the FPS drops and improve your gaming experience in Valorant.
Please feel free to reach out if you require any additional assistance. I'm here to help!
