Hi Abhiram. My name is Lester, and I am an Independent Advisor. I'd be more than happy to assist you. I'm so sorry that you are experiencing this issue. Don't worry, I'll do everything I can to help you.

If you set up 'Find My Device' on your laptop before, please follow the steps below to trace its location.

    1. Go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices and sign in.
    2. Select the Find My Device tab.
    3. Choose the device you want to find, and then select Find to see a map showing your device's location.

More information in this article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/account-bil...

Note: The 'Find My Device' functionality will only work if your lost laptop is connected to the Internet and has enough battery to send the location.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let me know. Thank you.

It will only be located if you had turned on Find my Device in settings. That will only locate the device if it connected to the internet.

It also assumes windows hasn't been clean installed after being stolen.

I'm sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, that is the only way. In this case, the best option for now is to report it to your local authorities.

You can try reaching out to your PC manufacturer's support to see if they can trace it using the IMEI number. Thank you.
