Cannot Upload Photos to Websites Using Windows 11

For the most part, I cannot seem to upload photos to websites. Every once in a blue moon, I will be able to succeed, else each site will tell me an error occurred, though never providing an error code.

Thus far, I have tried uploading to multiple websites using different browsers, clearing my cash for each, disabling extension for each, performing an IO Windows 11 Repair, changing my DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 1.1.2.2, rebooting my modem, resetting my network, restarting my adapter, restarting my computer, and disabling all firewall and threat protection.

I don't know what else to do, and the newest threads I have found for this type of post are from Dec 2021. Is anyone else still having this issue? Has anyone found a possible fix not listed?

My specs are listed below:

Processor: 12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700 2.10 GHz

Installed RAM: 16.0 GB (15.7 GB usable)

System Type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

Windows Edition: Windows 11 Home

Version: 23H2

OS Build: 22631.3447

Experience: Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22688.1000.0

None of the above worked for me. I had already tried the Windows Troubleshooters, but I tried again just in case. I had also checked the file sizes and types for each site from earlier, but all were within parameters. There was a driver update, but that did not change the result. And I performed the Clean Boot State, and checked on my regular and new user account in the clean boot state and back. Both were failures.

I have to say I am quite stumped.

I'm having similar issues. I've tried all of those methods too a few times. My issue is only certain websites that won't display images and I also have a karaoke app that I use offline that won't play the words but the music plays fine. I've used the same file from a memory stick with the same app on another computer and it works fine. There's gotta be some setting(s) not right on my laptop

    Hi, Nicholas Kosin

    Welcome to Microsoft Community

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and for providing a detailed description of the issue you're facing with uploading photos to websites on Windows 11. I understand how frustrating it can be when things don't work as expected, and I'm here to help you.

You've already taken some great troubleshooting steps. Let's try a few more to see if we can resolve this issue:

    1. Use the Windows Troubleshooters: Windows 11 has built-in troubleshooters that can help with internet connection problems. Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Other troubleshooters and run the Internet Connections troubleshooter.
    2. Test in Clean Boot State: Performing a clean boot can help rule out software conflicts. Here's how you can perform a clean boot: How to perform a clean boot in Windows - Microsoft Support Disclaimer: These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.
    3. Check File Types and Sizes: Some websites have restrictions on the types of files and the size of the files you can upload. Ensure the photos you're trying to upload meet the website's requirements.
    4. Check for Driver Updates: Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause various issues. Please try to get the latest adapted driver from the motherboard or computer brand website and install it.
    5. Create a New User Account: There might be a problem with your user profile. Try creating a new user account and see if you can upload photos from there.

If none of these steps work, it would be helpful to know if there are any specific error messages or if the issue occurs with all file types. Additionally, if you could provide any patterns you've noticed (such as the issue occurring after specific updates or software installations), that information could be crucial in diagnosing the problem.

Please try the above steps and let us know the results. We're here to assist you every step of the way.

    Best regards,

Martin | Microsoft Community support specialist
