Hello, recently. I wanted to go on my account and change some privacy stuff. But every time I click on these options (Add recovery Number, Change password, Security, Devices). It would redirect me to a page that says, "Something went wrong, please try again later." This has been annoying me all day, because I can't change any security features on my account. Please someone teach me how to fix this.

Same problem here. I've been in contact with Microsoft support chat 3 times without any success. Nobody was able to solve it. Microsoft supporters told me they would inform higher level support team, but nothing happened. I was requested to create a post in the feedback hub, but nobody came back to me. I've the problem for over 3 month now and no idea how to continue. Everytime I contact the Microsoft Support chat, I have to laboriously go through all the unnecessary steps of the exclusion procedures (knowing that none of this helps) without any success. It's not the browser, it's not the computer, it's not the operating system, it's not the network, it's not the internet connection. My second Microsoft account has no problem at all. So it has to do with my Microsoft account and I connot fix it myself.

    Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. My name is Gyula H., and I'm a community expert here to assist you with your issue. I understand that you're experiencing an error message, "Something went wrong, please try again later," when trying to access security settings on your account. We'll work together step by step to resolve this problem so you can update your privacy and security settings.

    Step-by-Step Troubleshooting

We'll start with the first step and proceed from there. Let's begin:

Step 1: Clear Browser Cache and Cookies

Please follow these instructions to clear your cache and cookies, depending on which browser you are using:

    For Chrome:

Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.

Go to More tools > Clear browsing data.

Select All time in the time range.

Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

    Click Clear data.

    For Edge:

Click on the three dots in the upper-right corner.

Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.

Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.

Select All time in the time range.

Check Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.

    Click Clear now.

    For Firefox:

Click on the three lines in the upper-right corner.

Go to Options > Privacy & Security.

Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data.

Select Cookies and Site Data and Cached Web Content.

    Click Clear.

Please clear your cache and cookies, then try accessing the account security settings again. Let me know if the issue persists or if you encounter any specific errors.

Once you've completed this step, we'll proceed to the next one if necessary.

    Best regards,

    Gyula H.

I have the same issue when I try to access the "App access" in Privacy settings on my account, it started around the same time as the OP's problem started. Clearing my cache has not fixed the problem.
