Battery Report says percentage is 101?!

I have a HP Windows 10 laptop, and after a brief power outage yesterday, the battery report has gone slightly haywire, My design capacity has fluctuated and increased/dropped a few times, although looking at past records of the report shows that this has happened a couple times since 2022. However, the main thing is that the battery report shows the percentage as 101 for some reason, meanwhile the charging icon on the task bar simply shows it as 100%

what??

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

That is not an indication of a problem with your battery, it is just a mis-calculation on the rounding of the charge percentage in Windows, many people report that, sometimes it will show 99% when the battery is charged to 100%, that is nothing to worry about.

Yes, this problem will resolve itself over time.

Will issues like this in the battery report go away over time, by the way? Did people who experienced it before have theirs go away after a while?

Okay thank you, I was very worried and confused because my batteries are made specifically so they don't overcharge at all, also restarting seems to have fixed it and they're back to 100% now and only a couple past records on battery report show it was 101% now
