To Remove User Profiles:
- Open File Explorer:
- Press
Windows + Eto open File Explorer. - Navigate to
C:\Users.
- Press
- Identify the User Profiles:
- You will see folders for each user profile, such as
Admin,Default,Public, and your user profiles.
- You will see folders for each user profile, such as
- Delete Unwanted User Profiles:
- Note: Do not delete
DefaultandPublicfolders as they are system folders and necessary for Windows operations. - Right-click on the user profile folder you want to delete (e.g., the other version of you) and select
Delete.
- Note: Do not delete
- Remove User Profile from System Properties:
- Press
Windows + Rto open the Run dialog. - Type
SystemPropertiesAdvancedand press Enter. - In the System Properties window, under the
User Profilessection, click onSettings. - Select the user profile you want to delete and click
Delete. Confirm the action.

- Deleting a user profile will remove all personal files, settings, and data associated with that profile. This includes documents, pictures, music, and any other files stored in that user's directories.
- System Impact: Deleting system folders like
DefaultandPubliccan cause system instability. These folders are used by Windows for default settings and shared data.
Before deleting any user profile, ensure you back up any important data you might need later. You also need to have administrator rights to delete user profiles.
