Disable changes MS made 5/14/2024 with SS update

On 5/14/2024 Microsoft installed the following update:

Servicing Stack 10.0.19041.4351 5/14/2024

The machine was not online at the time. When I came back from lunch, the machine had rebooted and the update was installed.

Since then, the machine, upon booting up, runs all sorts of telemetry scans and patches non-Microsoft apps.

How do I revert?

I disabled everything under Aplication Experience. So far, have not seen telemetry running.

We'll see what happens after the next update. I'm watching it like a hawk.

In that case, you might choose to disable that for a try, since it is an experience pack: | 1-> Click Start, type Task Scheduler, and then press Enter.<br><br>2-> On the Task Scheduler, go to this path<br><br>> Task Scheduler Library\Microsoft\Windows\Application Experience.<br><br>3-> On the Application Experience folder, look for Microsoft Compatibility Appraiser.<br><br>4-> Right-click on it, select Disable, and then confirm to complete the process.<br><br> | | --- |

    Let me know your thought.

    Re:

    <1> Uninstall..

In ControlPanel, right clicking on the update, nothing happens, meaning there's no option to uninstall,

In settings, the update is not listed, at least not listed with the same name.

    <2> Restore point..

The only restore point is 9 days after the update

Given those two options won't work, how do I turn off the telemetry MS started running after this update?

Here's what's running from the Task Manager, two processes run together:

    Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry

    Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry

They run at up to 90% CPU percentage

    Hi, TechGuy007.

    Welcome to Microsoft support community.

It seems that you are having problem with the Windows update.  And we are sorry to hear that.

To revert the update, you usually have two options:

    <1> Uninstall windows update | <ul style=""><li style=""><p data-prewrap="true"><span style="">Select the </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Start </span><span style=""> button, then select </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Settings </span><span style=""> > </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Update & Security </span><span style=""> > </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Windows Update </span><span style=""> > </span><span style="font-weight: bold">View update history </span><span style="">> </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Uninstall updates</span><span style="">.<br></span><span style="">View update history settings</span></p></li><li style=""><p data-prewrap="true"><span style="">Select and hold (or right-click) the update you want to remove, and then select </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Uninstall</span><span style="">.</span></p></li><li><p style="" data-prewrap="true">[Reference: <a href="https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/how-to-uninstall-a-windows-update-c77b8f9b-e4dc-4e9f-a803-fdec12e59fb0#ID0EBF=Windows_10" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" title="support.microsoft.com">How to uninstall a Windows update - Microsoft Support</a>]</p></li></ul> | | --- |

    <2>Use system restore point

    If you have enabled the restore, you could tried to revert the system to the point the system is still working. | <ul style=""><li style=""><p data-prewrap="true"><span style="">Taskbar and select </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Control Panel</span><span style=""> (Desktop app) from the results.</span></p></li><li style=""><p data-prewrap="true"><span style="">Search Control Panel for </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Recovery</span><span style="">, and select</span><span style="font-weight: bold"> Recovery</span><span style=""> > </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Open System Restore </span><span style="">> </span><span style="font-weight: bold">Next</span><span style="">. </span></p><p style="" data-prewrap="true"><a href="https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/faf95ad2-a756-495b-aecd-6ec43dfc9f9c?platform=QnA
