Hello everyone

I'm in a company scenario, trying to limit the video recording quality of Snipping tool.

I had a look through registry keys but couldn't find any related to Snipping Tool

Tried to add a registry key for this matter in different locations but didn't seem to work.

  • Is it possible to modify the default recording quality of this tool trough registry or other method?
  • or does not allow configuration changes trough registry?

I do have admin Rights

-Would be possible to modify this from Intune?

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There is no method, setting or registry hack that can edit the recording quality used in the Snipping Tool, that is hard coded in that app and no registry edits will affect the quality, resolution or framerate of the recordings.

Adjusting the screen resolution, that is lowering display resolution is reducing the video size, what I am seeing.
