My W11 laptop doesn't have a microphone jack but only a headset and 3 usb ports. If i buy a splitter can i use it along with my USB headset or do i have to buy a USB microphone?

Thank you for that information, in that case, you can get a 3.5mm splitter and the microphone will then work with that.

Wait no i have a usb headset, one with the rectangle plug you know, not 3.5mm. as you can see

There's no microphone jack, but the problem is my headset is a usb one. I bought a 3.5mm plug microphone recently and i can't put it anywhere so if i were to get a splitter would it work? Since my headset is a usb one.

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

It depends, on the 3.5mm plug on your headset is there 3 or 4 gold rings?

If there is 3 gold rings, then you can use a 3.5mm splitter to use your headset and microphone on your laptop.

If there are 4 gold rings on the headset plug, it will not work in a splitter, you would need to use a USB microphone.
