    Dear EsojSmarah,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community

Thank you for reaching out with your concern about your games crashing. I'm sorry to hear about the troubles you're experiencing. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue.

    1. Update Drivers: You mentioned that everything is up to date, but it might be beneficial to manually check for updates for your AMD Radeon RX6600XT graphics card. Sometimes, specific updates might not be pushed automatically through the general system update process. You can download the latest driver directly from the AMD website.
    2. Overheating Check: Overheating can cause your PC and games to crash unexpectedly. Monitor your system’s temperature while gaming using tools like HWMonitor or Speccy. If the temperatures are too high, consider cleaning the internal fans or improving the cooling system within your PC.
    3. Memory Diagnostic Tool: Faulty RAM can also lead to system instability. Windows has a built-in tool to check for memory problems. You can run this tool by typing Windows Memory Diagnostic into the start menu and following the on-screen prompts to start the test.
    4. Reinstall the Game: If specific games keep crashing, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling them. This can resolve issues caused by corrupt game files that weren't detected by your initial scan.

If after trying these steps the problem persists, it could be indicative of a more serious hardware issue, such as a failing GPU or PSU. If you suspect hardware issues, it might be worth having a professional technician look at your system.

Please let us know how these steps work out for you, and if you need any further assistance, feel free to ask.

    Best Regards,

Martin | Microsoft Community Support Specialist

when i posted this i posted it after doing everything that you mentioned but I've tried some of the other solutions on the internet after i posted this and after trying most of them it turned out to be an optional update - didn't know there's such a thing - and everything is back to normal now

for anyone having the same problem i think this will help

Which update was it? I've been having the same issue and at the end of my wits.
All games suddenly crashing within minutes of playing and no reason why.
I've tried all the steps here and much more including in-place upgrade of Win 11.
Perhaps it has to do with the same update you removed, please let everyone else know what KB you removed that fixed things!!

The link you posted is just the standard list of things to try, but doesn't mention a specific update that fixed things for you.
