Hello so i would like to fix these 3 warnings i keep getting in Event Viewer every time i start/restart my PC. Event ID is 63 Source WMI and it contains the following:

A provider, IntelMEProv, has been registered in the Windows Management Instrumentation namespace root\Intel_ME to use the LocalSystem account. This account is privileged and the provider may cause a security violation if it does not correctly impersonate user requests.

From what i understand it's because a scheduled task is not removed after installing Intel Management Engine. I did find an answer in this other post here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/intelmeprov-wmi-warning/9d79b919-d7fb-49ef-ab8e-5efd0a7d083f

The problem is that i am using Windows 11 and the location for this "Configuration Manager Client Retry Task" is not to be found anywhere. I already tried installing Intel ME from ASUS and also from Windows Update and the latest from Intel as well. This issue seems to be persistent, what can i do?

My system is ASUS Maximus XI Extreme, 9900KS

Hello! Thanks for answering, yes i do have some LSA Warnings along with the WMI. The reason i want these gone (even if they are only warnings) is because there seems to be interfering with my gaming specially with Counter-Strike 2. I don't know how to really explain this but there is something very wrong with the wmimgmt.exe that affects the way enemies move on screen. I have gone through a lot of windows installs in the last 3-4 weeks and i get different results each time. One thing is certain, the moment i restart winmgmt service gaming is better so i would like this to go away. Searching online i could find that there are a lot of people that use these 3 commands to fix "stuttering" with most online games, the commands are the following:

    net stop winmgmt

    winmgmt /standalonehost

    winmgmt /resetrepository

Also here is a screenshot of the warnings:

Also note that disabling from msconfig the following intel services:

    1. Intel(R) Dynamic Application Loader Host Interface Service
    2. Intel(R) Management Engine WMI Provider Registration

If i disable these two, the WMI warnings go away but i still get the LSA. Honestly i am 100% sure there is something wrong with this Intel ME. My motherboard is Asus ROG Strix Maximus XI Extreme Z390. I have tried the Intel ME drivers from Asus, then newest drivers from intel.com and also from windows update. I just can't make this thing go away. Note that i did have Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC Edition installed a while back but as it wasn't really good for me i just went back to Windows 11 PRO as it seems to suit all my needs and 11 doesn't have the LTSC version anyway.

I do have another video card which i am using right now so the Intel GPU is disabled by BIOS. I don't even have it installed so there is nothing to remove... I could install and remove the Intel drivers if needed.

    Dear MC Derril!

    Thanks for your reply!

I have another question now. Does your computer have other graphics cards?

You have now found your Intel GPU maybe the root of error. If you have other graphics cards, you can try to disable the Intel GPU that you think may have an error, and then uninstall the corresponding driver.

After that, check whether your computer still pops up these errors.

    Hi, MC Derril!

Welcome to the Microsoft community and thank you for asking your question in the community!

Based on your description, I understand that you keep receiving 3 WMI errors.

Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI) is Microsoft's implementation of Web-based Enterprise Management (WBEM), an industry initiative to develop standard technologies for accessing management information in an enterprise environment. WMI uses the Common Information Model (CIM) industry standard to represent systems, applications, networks, devices, and other managed components. CIM is developed and maintained by the Distributed Management Task Force (DMTF).

This is used in the enterprise. If your device is not in the enterprise, it should not be affected. Do you have any errors in the use of your device now, or any error pop-ups? You can provide screenshots or detailed descriptions in your next reply. I am also very willing to help you solve the problem together.

Thank you for your understanding and support!

    Best Regards,
