So my Windows 11 version is 22631.3810

I have also created a thread on this topic about 2 years ago and some guy gave a registry file which upon running fixed this issue. Now I see this issue again. Please help me as I use these shortcuts so much.

Previous thread link: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/the-folders-group-is-removed-from-this-pc-after/efbb4d63-8600-45de-9893-a7dc8f426ee1

Screenshots

Only the 3D Objects folder is visible but upon opening it, it displays this dialogue box

I repeat, the solution given in the previous thread is not working anymore

Ok. For the 3D Objects folder error, creating a folder named "3D Objects" in that location should help.

For the other issue, will compare the registry settings and let you know.

I'm sorry, I unmarked that as answer cause I thought that reg doesn't work anymore and it would be misleading for other people. However your current reg is not working. It is still the same, only 3D Objects folder showing and displays error when opening it :(

Can you check if the 3D Objects folder exists in that location?

Also, run these commands and post the output (text) here:

    • reg query "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace" /s
    • reg query "HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace" /s

I'm one of those 'guys' who gave you a REG. There are two or three REG file/contents there. Which one did you try and failed to work?

    Try this REG:

    add-remove-folders-this-pc.zip
