2 Finger Scroll With Touchpad Not Working On Windows 10.

When I try enable 2 finger scroll through settings, all I get is this simplistic window, that just allows me to change my touchpad sensitivity.
In device manager, under the mouse and other pointers category, it only says HID-compliant mouse. This has been happening ever since I got my laptop. I have a Dell Latitude 7480.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

I am Tanvi and I would be happy to assist you today!

Check Touchpad Settings in a Different Way, While the Settings menu might be showing limited options, there might be a more detailed touchpad settings panel available. Here's how to find it:

    1. Press Windows Key + X and select Settings.

    2. Click on Devices.

    3. Select Touchpad.

    1. If "Drag two fingers to scroll" is available here, enable it. This should be the solution.

Restart Touchpad Service sometimes restarting the touchpad service can fix the issue:

        1. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box.

        2. Type services.msc and press Enter.

        3. In the Services window, find Human Interface Device Access.

        4. Right-click on it and select Restart.

I hope this information helps, do let me know if you have any other queries.

    Good Day

I finally found out what it is - basic Windows 10 doesn't have 2-finger scroll as a feature. Only Windows 10 Plus has it.

Yes, I have the same problem, no 2 finger scroll, and these didn't work for me either. I tried both of the original solutions (#1 finding Touchpad Settings through the keyboard command, and #2 finding the Human Device Interface Access) but neither worked. For the latter, when I selected the Human Interface Device Access, "Restart" was grayed out so I couldn't restart it.

Finally, I tried finding the last solution mentioned above, the Hardware Troubleshooter. However, "Hardware & Devices" was not an option. The closest thing was "Keyboard Troubleshooter," and so I ran that. Still no fix. Can someone please help??

The closest thing I have is Human Interface Device Service, as the first option did not work. Would restarting this fix the issue? This is the description, pulled from device manager.

    Description:
Activates and maintains the use of hot buttons on keyboards, remote controls, and other multimedia devices. It is recommended that your keep this service running.
