If you upgraded from a previous version of Windows to Windows 11 for free, or if your device came pre-installed with Windows 11, you likely have a digital license. In this case, Windows 11 should have activated automatically during setup. However, you can check your activation status by going to Start > Settings > System > Activation. (Or) If your Windows 11 isn't activated and you have a Microsoft account linked to it, you can simply sign in with that same account to reactivate.

If you purchased a separate product key for Windows 11, you can activate it by following these steps:

Press Start and select Settings.

Go to System > Activation.

Click Change product key and enter your 25-character product key

I have a product key and im getting an error when trying to run windows on a brand new computer the issue says “couldnt verify the product key. Please check your installation media” what do i do?

my latop is brand new hp 250 g8 with windows 11pro and i cant activate its saying i need to connect to the server of the organisation. i can see a product key but just the last few characters. ive tried to check up my product key via command prompt etc..i cant find it. my pc came with just one manual and i cant see any product key attached to the tag on the manual. ive disposed the carton, im not sure if the product key was on the carton

Are you sure that the product key you are using matches with your install of Windows? That could be one of the reasons why.
