I had paint and used it in the morning. I rebooted in the afternoon and it is gone. Also don't lie and say its still there because it is completely gone from my computer. I also noticed my Office 2013 apps have disappeared though I can still start them via the run window . THANKS MICROSOFT

Hi Don. My name is Lester, and I am an Independent Advisor. I'm sorry that you are experiencing this issue. I'd be more than happy to assist you.

Sometimes, software like Paint can disappear after updates or if accidentally removed. Check if Paint is still on your list of installed programs. If not, you may need to reinstall it.

Right-click the Start Menu and select Windows PowerShell (Admin)

Copy and paste the below command and hit Enter:

    DISM /Online /Add-Capability /CapabilityName:Microsoft.Windows.MSPaint~~~~0.0.1.0

Wait for the process to complete. It will show you 100% 'The operation completed successfully.'

For Office 2013, you can create a shortcut back to the desktop or taskbar, whichever you prefer.

I hope this information is helpful. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any more questions. Thank you

The instructions are for Windows 10.

For Windows 11, use this method => How to Get Windows 10 Classic Paint in Windows 11
