I have downloaded the redragon mouse m913 wired edition, and upon trying to download and launch the software I am met with a pop up window saying 'mouse is disconnected'. How do I fix this?

Hi. I have just bought the redragon mouse m913 wired edition from amazon (Redragon M913 Impact Elite Wireless Gaming Mouse, 16000 DPI Wired is the name on amazon), and as my question states, upon trying to download and open the software, I am met with a pop up window saying mouse is disconnected. After pressing ok (the x button on the top right doesn't do anything) the application opens for something like a millisecond before crashing. I saw a similar post like this on windows but I figured since the application isn't opening entirely, my situation may be different. any help is appreciated
