Make a drive bootable

I have a drive with windows 11 installed on it, and my pc doesn't see the drive as a bootable drive, so every time I start my pc, the windows recovery screen pops up and I have to select "boot other OS" to get into my windows drive, when I go to the BIOS it doesn't the drive as a boot option in the first place. I got this problem by trying to install linux mint on my pc, and when I did I didn't really like it, so I wanted to go back to windows, before I switched I made a copy of my windows partition to an external drive, so I just copied that back up to another drive, but it doesn't start into it and doesn't see it as a bootable drive.

    Dear Leon,

Thank you so much for your reply!

On your computer, press the Windows key + R, type "msconfig," and then click on Boot. On the Boot page, check if it shows one or two Windows installations. If it shows two Windows installations, try changing the Timeout from zero to 30 seconds, then click Apply and restart your PC. Check if you are able to see both Windows installations.

If it still shows only one Windows installation, please send me a screenshot.

    Warm Regards,

    Arif

    Dear Leon,

Thank you so much for your reply!

I hope I understand you correctly. You have set up Windows on another drive, but the motherboard doesn't recognize the Windows setup. In that case, have you tried to reinstall Windows on the same drive? If you do, please ensure that the entire process goes correctly from start to finish.

Or do you mean that you are trying to set up a dual boot on your computer on a different drive, but after setting up the second boot, your computer only shows one boot (one Windows installation), and the second boot does not appear?

    Warm Regards,

    Arif
