thinscale secure remote worker failing my upload/download speeds

it is giving me a fail download/upload and my speeds are well over the recommended. I don't know what's changed. I didn't have any trouble for the first 3 months I worked. It just started about 3 weeks ago. I have gone through everything my work tech team told me. There is something stopping my speeds from reaching them. I have made sure I am up to date on everything , even drivers. I have restarted modem and router. (even bought a new router thinking that could be the problem). restarted computer a few times. I don't have a 3rd party antivirus. I am the only one connected to my network. Tech tells me that maybe I should reset windows but I hate to do that. I don't want to lose anything. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I finally stumbled on my problem. I had decided it had to be my ethernet. i went to update and security, troubleshoot, additional troubleshooters, then hit connection to a workplace using DirectAccess. It found a problem, fixed it and srw signed right on. No failed download/upload, Thank you for your help though. I sure appreciated any help I could get. my work tech team was NO HELP!!

    Thank you for your reply.

I apologize for not being able to help you with your issue

I'd also like to troubleshoot the problem

Can your computer connect to WiFi?

If so, you can check to see if there is a change in WiFi and the connection to the network cable

Hello karen L 63 and welcome to the Microsoft Community!

According to your feedback, you are experiencing issues with upload/download speeds not being realized.

The first thing you can try to do is to troubleshoot the third-party software interfering with the issue.

You can try a clean start to troubleshoot the issue.

    Here's how to do it

    1. Click Windows+R and type msconfig.
    2. Open System Configuration and select General tab - Selective Startup.
    3. Remove the checkbox of Load startup items.
    4. Go to the Services tab - click Hide all microsoft services in the lower left corner, and then click Disable all.
    5. Click OK and restart your computer. (Be sure to select Hide all microsoft services first and then click Disable all, otherwise it may lead to unforeseen problems such as not being able to access the system.)
    6. Check if the problem will reappear.

DISCLAIMER: Clean Boot is a way to start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs so that you can determine if background programs are interfering with your games or programs and help you figure out the cause of the problem. It will help you get back on track.

Other than that, you can also try clicking on the windows key and typing internet options

Then click on Advanced > Restore Advanced Settings > Apply > OK in turn

Hope the above information helps you
