Please let me know if you have tried the methods below:
- Easy way: Use Task View
- Open Word on Desktop 1
- Go to Desktop 2 and open Word again
- Press Win+Tab
- Drag the second Word window to Desktop 2
- Change settings:
- Go to Settings > System > Multitasking
- Set "On the taskbar, show all the open windows" to "On the desktop I'm using"
- Keyboard shortcuts:
- Open Word on Desktop 1
- Press Win+Ctrl+D for a new desktop
- Open Word on the new desktop
- Use Win+Ctrl+Left/Right Arrow to switch desktops
- Create a special shortcut:
- Make a new Word shortcut
- Add "/n" to the end of the shortcut's target
- Use this to open Word on different desktops
- Make Word show on all desktops:
- Right-click Word on the taskbar
- Choose "Show windows from this app on all desktops"
These methods should help you use Word on separate desktops.
