Is it possible to get a virus just by going to a website? If there is nothing to download or enter, is it possible? I visited the scan.io website and don’t know if it is safe?

You cannot get a virus just by visiting a website, provided you do not click any links on the site or download anything from the site, and if Defender or your preferred anti-virus is fully up to date, that would protect your system.
and if you have already switched, what should you do?
ok, what if you click on the link but don’t download anything? Simple click in the dangerous link can infect you? Exploits browser?
Run a full scan with Defender or your preferred anti-virus to check if your system is malware free.
Clicking on a link may cause problems even if you do not see a file downloading, so do not click links on websites that you are not fully sure are legitimate.
