How to upload pictures from iPhone to PC without loading all items from camera roll?

I'm trying to upload some of my newest pictures from my iPhone to PC and have to wait for all 16000 photos to load onto the photos app to select the newest ones. Is there a better way to do this? It takes too long for all of them to load. Thanks!

I appreciate the reply! I'm trying the second option where I go to www.icloud.com . I just backed up my phone and it shows all my pictures except the ones I was trying to get onto my computer, I don't know why they're not appearing. There's pictures from right before and after all the ones I tried to upload. I got them into a folder by going into my iphone in file explorer but when I open the pictures it says "The HEVC video extension is required to display this file" and I don't want to install it out of principle because I've never had to pay to get pictures from my phone to computer.

Yes, because they are iphone's live photos, so if you go with option 1, you will have to get the extention.

If you go with option 2, why the photos don't show up in icloud would be strictly an Apple question, which is outside of the support scope here.

What about option 3 if you are only missing a few?

    Hello, this is Emily.

There are a few different ways to do so:

    1. If you already have your iPhone connected to your PC, you can cancel the Photos app loading. Instead, go to File Explorer > This PC, locate your phone to go into the folder, and manually copy and paste the photos.
    2. If your iPhone has your photos backed up to iCloud, you can go to www.icloud.com to download the ones you want on the PC.
    3. You can also email those photos to yourself from your phone.
    4. If you have OneDrive installed on your iPhone, you can go to OneDrive app, select the upload option and manually select the ones you want to upload to OneDrive, and then download from OneDrive on the PC by going www.onedrive.com.
