Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

There has been no announcement or an indication from Microsoft that they intend developing a new version of Windows Mobile, even their own Surface phone runs on Android, they are however developing a version of Windows 11 that will run on a Snapdragon X chip, so perhaps in the future, they may develop a new mobile OS, but there is no indication from them at all about that.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for the information! It's true that Microsoft hasn't made any recent announcements about a new windows mobile but it will be interesting to see if their work on windows for snapdragon chips may lead to development of a mobile operating system down the road and i hope they really do make one

We don't even need a new Windows OS for mobile. Just adapting the original version to visually fit into mobile screen is the only thing they need to do. Those days, phones were not powered enough to run full fledged windows OS. So they had to make a new OS altogether. Right now, we have budget mobiles with 12 gb RAM and no limits to internal storage at all. What's stopping windows from doing it?
