    Hi Amit,

I'm Christine, I can see here that you're unable to use your Dell D3100 docking station after upgrading to Windows 11. I'll do my best to help.

This can be a compatibility issue.

If you don't mind me asking, have you tried to reach Dell Support already regarding this?

After reinstalling the driver for Windows 11, have you tried to restart your computer already? If not yet, please try to restart first.

Please unplug from the power, wait at least 10 seconds, and then please reconnect the docking station.

If the issue persists, kindly check the troubleshooting steps from the link below:

    https://www.dell.com/support/kbdoc/en-us/000132...

And if the issue persists, kindly check the Dell Support by choosing the Contact Support from the right side of the Dell website.

    Thank you,

    Christine L

    Hi Amit,

I see. Yeah, if it's a compatibility issue, you may go back to Windows 10 as long as you'll do it from Settings, you should not loose any data or files.

Please try to click Start menu and type Roll back and hit enter. Under Recovery options, choose Go back. Please let me know how it goes.

    Thanks,

    Christine

    Hi Christine

    Thank you for your response.

I have done all the above, Dell was unable to provide much assistance as my laptop was not a Dell, I am using a Mircosoft surface 3.

I am thinking of rolling back from Windows 11 to Windows 10, as this was not an issue before. My laptop automatically upgraded to windows 11 this morning.

Would you know If I was to roll back to Windows 10, will I loose any data? or will everything be restored back to how it previously was ?

    Kind Regards

    Amit
