Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.
I am sorry that you are experiencing this issue. dtsapo4service.exe is a process associated with DTS Studio Sound, an audio processing software that can come pre-installed on some Windows computers. When dtsapo4service.exe crashes, it can cause audio issues like cutting out or malfunctioning audio effects.
Could you please let us know what are all the possible methods you have tried?
- Run the audio troubleshooter:
Select Start > Settings > System > Sound > Troubleshoot common sound problems and select Output devices or Input devices.
- Update or Uninstall audio drivers and re-install them:
• Open Device Manager.
• Select the arrow next to Sound, video and game controllers to expand it.
• Right-click your default audio driver and select update. If the drivers are already up to date,
• Right-click your default audio driver and select uninstall, select the Attempt to remove the driver for this device check box, and then select Uninstall.
• Restart your PC and check if it helps.
• If the issue persists, download and install the drivers from the PC manufacturer's website.
- Uninstall and re-install DTS Sound Unbound Audio software.
Go to settings > Apps > uninstall the program. Re-install the software from official websites.
- Install Windows updates.
select Start > Settings > Windows Update. Download and install the pending updates and restart your PC.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.
Best regards,
Gunasekar N
