Hello Barbara,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.
There are two different ways where you can run Windows OS on your MAC.
- Using BootCamp. (This is a Built-in utility available on your Mac)
- Using parallels. (Parallels is virtualization software that enables you to run Windows (or other operating systems) alongside macOS - Paid software )
So, you can choose any one of the methods that is convenient for you.
Installing Windows on Bootcamp:
With Boot Camp, you can install and use Windows on your Intel-based Mac. Boot Camp Assistant helps you set up a Windows partition on your Mac computer’s hard disk and then start the installation of your Windows software.
After installing Windows and the Boot Camp drivers, you can start up your Mac in either Windows or macOS.
