    Thanks for your response,

I dialled Microsoft advertised numbers which is very frustrating as all just refer me to a form that does not function or to MS website with the same form.

I connot be sure but it was one of these numbers:132058,138400 or131546 which led me to 4V IT Services.

I had a pop up om my screen that stated Defender scan was aborted and to contact a number that was not a MS number so I tried to contact MS. one of the above numbers connected me to Shabhan of V4 It Sevices in Victoria. Thinking he was a MS rep. I allowd him access and he scanned my system and found many errors which seem ligit to me as my PC was running very slow. HE offered to fix giving me 3 options : 1 time fix about $270, 3 month service and protection about $350 and I cannot remember the 3rd option. He wanted me to sign up immediately but I would not until I had checked him out.

I checked the company online and it seeems to be legit and has many favourable reports?

I have asked him to resubmit a quote for the immediate fix as he has left me with a 3 month offer.

Unless you advise to the contrary I am tempted to pay for him to fix the problems. I cannot contact MS for help so waht else can I do?

I thought as MS is blocking contact it mat have sourced out it's support funtions.

I cannot locate the actual pop up now as I do not know where to look or how to find it. V4 IT is listed on the web.

Please advise if I should go ahead or how I may best resolve my system problems.

    Thanks for your help,

    Best day,

    John Smith

Hi, I am Dave, I will help you with this.

V4IT seems to be an Australian IT company/website, and not affiliated to Microsoft, how was contact made with them, was there some notification in your browser indicating that there was something wrong with your PC or an Email from them, please provide full details.
