I encountered the exact same problem with Jedi survivor.

    This fix worked for me:

    Step 1:

    Verify game files

    Step 2:

Download and install VC_Redist.x64 as well as VC_Redist.x86

If you already have either of these installed, just repair them.

Restart the PC, and it should work. It worked in my case, at least.

    Good luck!

I see thank you for the information. Have you tried temporarily disabling Windows Firewall and any third-party anti-virus then try reinstalling the game again and also the client Origin if possible.

Hi Charity. I apologies for the lack of information in my last message message.

So I am trying to run a video game on my pc however an error message pops up every time stating: There is a problem with your game set up. Please reinstall your game.

I have uninstalled and repaired the game so i'm confident in saying its not the game that is causing the issue, its something to do with my pc (or windows).

I saw another thread on the microsoft support page dealing with the same issue however the advice was a few years old so I was hoping I could get some newer advice.

please let me know if you need further information

Hello there! I am Charity, I'm an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you.

I'm glad to help you today!

I understand you need help with a game.

Could kindly provide more details regarding your issue? Are you unable to run the game and is there an error message that you can share? And is it only happening to one game?
