Why can't I find or download Print Management in Windows 11?

I've been watching some YouTube videos on Printer Troubleshooting and taking notes later when the video brought up Print Management.

For some reason I can't find Print Management on my computer. Furthermore, when I try to follow Google's instructions:

Step 1: Press Windows + I to open the Settings app.

Step 2: On the left pane, click Apps, and on the right, click Optional features.

Step 3: Click the view features button.

Step 4: Search for Print Management, click it and click Next.

Step 5: Click Install.

I can't find Optional features where they say it is to download it, but I did a search and found it under Settings > System. After click on Optional features & selecting Add features a list comes up, but Print Management isn't on that list.

So is there any other way to get Print Management, or is it obsolete and replaced by something else?

If you have Windows 11 Pro this worked for me:

Run Command Prompt as Administrator and paste the following command in:

    DISM /online /add-capability /CapabilityName:Print.Management.Console~~~~0.0.1.0

Wait for the command to execute. It might take a couple of minutes.

After completing the installation process, Print Management is ready for use in Windows 11. You can access it by pressing Windows + R to open Run, typing printmanagement.msc in the text field, and hitting Enter.

    Dear Tony Wolter

Thank you for posting in the Microsoft community.

Print Management itself is activated by default in WINDOWS 11 as a preloaded feature.

So you don't really need to install it, but only if the feature is damaged, you can go to Options - at the bottom he will have an installed feature - Print Manager - you can uninstall this feature and then you will see it in the list of new features.

Back to the topic, there are usually very few problems with the print management module.

If you have a Pro system you can just press WIN+R.

    and type

    printmanagement.msc

This feature requires Windows Professional and above to work directly.

I'd like to ask you about the specific problems you've encountered in adding printers.

For example, is it not possible to add some network printers.

Looking forward to your further reply.

    Before trying the above. Try

    Restart the Print Spooler Service

    • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    • Scroll down to find Print Spooler.
    • Right-click on Print Spooler and choose Restart.
    • Check if the Print Management console works after restarting the service.
