Hello Bao,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community and I'll be glad to assist you today.
Yes, as said SSDs are much faster than HDDs, especially for read/write operations. When extracting files, the size of individual files makes a difference. Extracting many small files (in the KB range) can take longer due to opening and closing each file, while larger files (in the MB range) will be extracted faster.
Also, the software you use for extraction also matters here. Built-in Windows tools like File Explorer might be slower compared to third-party tools like 7-Zip or WinRAR. Additionally, extracting files from an HDD to an SSD could slow down the process.
As long as the hardware (SSD) is compatible, you shouldn't experience any issues. Try extracting a different .zip file inside the SSD and see if it is faster. If there are any compatibility issues, you might encounter a BSOD or other errors during bootup. However, there's no need to worry about hardware compatibility.
I hope this information helps. If you have any questions, please let me know and I will be happy to help you further.
Best regards,
Gunasekar N
