The closest thing you can do natively on Windows is create folders on the Desktop and separate these icons on the folders.

The closest thing you can do natively on Windows is create folders on the Desktop and separate these icons on the folders.
Right-click in a blank area > New > Folder
There are many ways to do that. From the most simplistic (i.e. make folders) to third-party solutions that provide new interface capabilities. Some people find it better to not use the desktop but instead group their apps, games, etc. via the Start menu or using one of the many custom start menu apps out there.
