Hi, I am trying to add another account onto my laptop, I've gone through settings, accounts and i am on the home page of Microsoft Account | Home, but the problem is I'm already in a family, and i need to add my work profile onto this laptop. How do i do that when I'm already in a family, and I cant find a way to add another family member onto the family as I am not the organizer? Is there a way to not add my account onto the family but still have 2 profiles on my laptop?

Hello Josie, I'm Quinn, and I'm happy to help you.

You can create a new profile on your laptop without changing your family group settings. Here's how:

    1. Open Settings.
    2. Select "Accounts" from the list on the left.
    3. Click on "Family & other users" in the sidebar.
    4. Click on "Family & other users" from the left sidebar.
    5. Under "Other users," click "Add someone else to this PC."

-Enter the email address for the new profile (likely your work email). If you want a local account instead, click "I don't have this person's sign-in information" and then "Add a user without a Microsoft account."

    1. Create the account, for a Microsoft account, follow the prompts to enter the email address and create a password. For a local account, enter a username and password (if desired), and then follow the remaining steps to finish the setup.
    2. Switch between profiles by signing out and then signing in with the new profile.

This way, you can have both work and personal profiles on your laptop without affecting your family settings. Let me know if you have any other questions or need further assistance with this.
