I wouldn't expect anything less from microsoft - introduce an option that nobody knows about, and bury it in a settings page that nobody knows about
print screen in Windows 11
not a question, just feedback
the print screen button in windows 11 has suggested to me that microsoft really don't understand how people use their computers. when I press print screen, I want it to save the screen. not give me an option, not ask me, not ask me again, not give me another option. just print the screen. I know microsoft cannot do this. I know that when a user asks windows to do something, microsoft has to give them an option. then another option. then ask them if they are sure
I realise microsoft aren't capable of "just doing things"
I've just downloaded the installation for Windows 10

Incorrect. You just have to turn off Screen Capture from Settings > Accessibility> Kewyboard to simply copy the Screen Print. See the screenshot below:
Depending on your Keyboard, you might have to press Fn+PrtScn to use the PrtScn feature.
Hope that helps, and rely on us for any further inquiries. All the best.

This assumes that you know this setting exists in the first place. All Microsoft had to was LEAVE IT THE SAME AS IT WAS. But, no, they just have to add a new "feature" and screw up my work flow. Add this to the huge pile of reasons people hate Microsoft.

2024-07-20T22:44:59+00:00 This does not work. The "Use the Print Screen Key" is turned on, but I have to use it with the Fn key, then I have to choose the area I want to copy, then I have to click on it, and then copy it and paste it into a program like Photoshop to work on it. Such a long process, which only detracts from what we had and adds nothing. Very disappointing.

2024-07-07T21:34:46+00:00 We either don't want to see an overlay when we take a screenshot. What for is this overlay ?
I switched off activation of snipping tool when I press screenscreen button but now printscreen button is not working anymore at all.
Only I can get a screenshot by pressing Win+printscreen but I have to welcome an undesirable short overlay . how can I avoid it ? How can I take a silent screen shot ? third party utils don't do it either.
