Each time I try to sign into one of my accounts, I receive the message "Something went wrong, please try again later" and the code 0x80190001. I can't download apps or login to microsoft apps such as the microsoft store, game bar, and teams. I read a forum earlier about the same thing, and none of their solutions worked for me.

Could somebody please help me asap??

    Hi lexiiqX,

I'm Christine, a Windows user like you. I can see here that you're getting error when trying to sign in to your MS Store. No worries, I'll do my best to help you.

May I know the version or build of Windows that you're running? (Please press Windows key+R and type winver and hit enter)

Have you tried to use different account and check if the issue persists?

Please check and follow the steps below:

    1. Windows Update Troubleshooter

    Windows 10

Please Click Start menu and choose Settings

Hit Update and Security then Troubleshoot

    Choose Additional troubleshooters

    And select Windows Update

    Finally, Run the troubleshooter

    1. Please press Windows key + R and type wsreset.exe and hit enter.

Wait for it to finish and load the MS Store.

Once MS Store is up, please check if the issue still persists.

    1. Repair Windows Store apps

Click Start Menu and type Powershell, right click on it and choose Powershell(admin), copy and paste the command below and hit enter.

    Get-AppXPackage | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}

Once the process is done, restart the PC and check if the issue still persists.

    1. Please try to run the sfc scannow to check if there's a corrupted system file. Kindly follow the steps from the link below:

Please click start menu and type cmd, right click on it and choose CMD with Admin.

Type sfc /scannow and hit enter. NOTE: There's a space between c and /

Restart and check if the issue persists.

Please let me know the result. I'll be happy to assist you all the way until it's resolved.

    Thank you,

    Christine L

Try enabling TLS 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 in "Internet Properties" restart then try to sign-in again.

Every time I try to verify my identity to do a backup I get the same error. It's like everything that could go wrong has gone wrong after the last update where I wasn't able to dual boot Ubuntu 24.04 LTS and Windows 11. Fixed that myself - I was up till 4:30 AM, now this. FYI, it's telling me I am not signed in with my Microsoft account and to switch accounts - but I have been using this account since first buying the laptop with a pin number, it also wants me to add phone number (which I will not do for privacy reasons), and like an hour later I've gotten nowhere. Pissed off, all I want to do is uninstall Windows 11 forever and use Ubuntu which is hassle free and no stress.
